Greetings, everyone. I know I said that I would try to do things other than news posts, but these news items just came up and were in need of being reported. No worries, though. I’ve got some other non-news posts in the works.

Anyway, on to the news. But first of all, SPOILER WARNING! Do NOT read this post unless you want spoilers for the next Adventures in Odyssey Album!

Okay, you’ve been warned.

As you’ve read, the title and summary for the next album has been revealed!

It is titled “28 Hours”.

Here is the summary:

The clock is ticking toward an explosive confrontation as your friends from Odyssey race to solve the mystery and save the world in this special, six-part adventure 28 Hours.

To Jason Whittaker, it was just another morning in Odyssey. Birds were chirping. Sunshine warmed his back. The only urgent item on his agenda was helping Connie Kendall get her car started. (Again!) But then Jason’s phone rings, alerting him to a crime at J and J Antiques that will set in motion a day that the Odyssey gang will never forget.

Over the next several hours, Jason, Connie, Whit, and Jillian become entangled in a mystery that threatens the future of their beloved town and even the entire world. Could such a nice day really end in the start of war? Will Jason really have to sacrifice himself to prevent the death of thousands? Is anyone going to make it out of this day alive? And, as Connie asks with frustration, “Is anyone in this town really who they say they are?”

Adventures in Odyssey audio dramas release the imagination of both young and old as listeners follow a host of characters through adventures in the town of Odyssey. Geared toward kids ages 8 and up, these high-quality audio dramas teach biblical truths and moral foundations for children to make decisions from throughout their lives. They are perfect for car rides and initiating important conversations with kids.

The cover art has not been revealed yet. The album will be released on October 4, 2022. Be sure to pre-order it on Amazon!

I’ve got some thoughts on this. I assume that this is Album 73? If so, it’s interesting that the summary on Amazon doesn’t explicitly say “In 28 Hours, album #73 of the series…”, like the summaries did for Album 71 and Album 72. Part of me is wondering if this will just be a special standalone album, but I really don’t see any reason why it should be. I’m probably just unnecessarily overthinking things. So, let’s go ahead and begin discussing Album 73: 28 Hours! An upcoming war? Jason having to sacrifice himself? Saving the lives of thousands? This sounds like some serious stuff!

Also, an upcoming book has been revealed! Volume 2 of The Jones & Parker Case Files!

Here’s the summary:

16 Exciting Detective Stories for Readers to Solve

A good detective keeps her hands clean. That means staying out of trouble . . . and using lots of soap.

There’s something mysterious going on in Odyssey . . . again. But the Jones and Parker Detective Agency is on the case. No mystery is too big (or too small) for Emily Jones and Matthew Parker. And this new adventure promises to be a real doozy. It all starts with a mysterious phone caller who threatens to blackmail Jones and Parker’s friend Jeremy. But this new nemesis won’t be satisfied with just Jeremy. Can Emily and Matthew identify the blackmailer and prevent his reign of terror from continuing?

Jones and Parker Case Files #2: The Nemesis compiles 16 more stories published in Clubhouse magazine. In one fun volume, kids can play detective along with Emily and Matthew as they examine the evidence and inspect the clues. Filled with humor, faith, and an ominous mystery, this second adventure in the Jones and Parker series is enjoyable for everyone in the family and all fans of Adventures in Odyssey.

The book will be released on November 8, 2022. Be sure to pre-order it on Amazon!

I haven’t been receiving Clubhouse Magazine lately and am completely clueless of what’s been going on in them, so I am definitely looking forward to reading this book and seeing what I’ve been missing in the Jones and Parker stories. Looks very interesting.

Well, that’s all the news for now. What are your thoughts on these news items? Be sure to leave a comment!
